Pilates & Reformer
If you are new to Pilates or Reformer, we strongly recommend starting with either one of our Beginner’s Introductory Classes (run periodically throughout the year) or a private introductory 1:1. We offer private sessions for up to 3 people, so there’s always space if you want to bring along a friend or two!
Book your session here: https://backoffice.bsport.io/m/Platinum%20Wellness/4398/private-service/?isPreview=true&private_service_group=6218.
Note: We do not advise joining a regular Pilates or Reformer class without prior experience or a prior introductory session.
Our studio welcomes all ability levels; however, if you are brand new to Pilates or Reformer, we strongly advise attending either an introductory class (run periodically throughout the year) or a private 1:1 introductory session. Our introductory private session is £45 for up to three people, so that you can bring along some friends!

No! Our studio welcomes all ages; however, some classes may be more suitable than others, depending on your experience and any medical conditions or injuries you have. We offer a timetable with sessions specifically selected for those over 60, so you can be assured that you are catered for. Check out our Club 60 page.
No, you do not need to be flexible. Contrary to popular belief, Pilates is not all about flexibility! We offer modifications and props to help you move comfortably while building strength and control and improving your flexibility, whatever your starting point.
For Beginners, we recommend practicing 2-3 times per week to build your initial skill level, core strength, and improve posture, while giving your body adequate rest in between. If you practice more regularly, you might increase your practice up to 5 times per week to build further strength and endurance.
A ‘Studio Class’ refers to any of our Mat Pilates, Yoga, Aerobics, Strength Training, and Stretch classes, but does not include Reformer Pilates. Our studio classes accommodate up to 9 people per class, meaning you receive personalised attention and hands-on corrections.
Studio passes and memberships include studio classes only and do not include Reformer Pilates.
Mat Pilates uses a Mat and traditional Pilates props, such as resistance bands, Pilates balls, Pilates rings, toning balls, blocks, and cushions, and relies on bodyweight resistance to build strength and tone while improving core control and posture.
Reformer Pilates has similar goals but uses the Reformer Pilates machine and spring resistance alongside traditional Pilates props, so there is buildable resistance, versus the mat, which relies on resistance from bodyweight and props
All our classes are 55 minutes. This allows 5 minutes in between classes for changeover.
We operate on a small-group class basis to ensure personalised attention for each client as and when it's needed.
In our studio classes (Mat Pilates, Yoga, Strength Training, Aerobics, and Stretch), we accommodate up to 9 people. Our Reformer Pilates classes accommodate between 3 and 5 people.

We recommend wearing comfy clothes you can move around in easily, like leggings, joggers, or other activewear. Whatever makes you feel the most comfortable and confident!
For Reformer Pilates, we also highly recommend wearing grip socks for your safety.
Grip socks are highly recommended for Reformer Pilates for safety reasons. We do sell them on-site, so don’t worry if you don’t have any yet!
We provide all mats and equipment, though you are more than welcome to bring your own if you prefer. We also recommend bringing a water bottle with you to stay hydrated!
Please reach us at admin@platinumwellness.co.uk if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Our taster pass is specially designed for new starters and features a 7-day unlimited trial for all studio classes for just £15. If you want to add a single Reformer class to try, the total comes to £25.
To use the pass, simply visit our booking system (linked below) and select the first class you want to try. Then, when you go to check out, select the ‘7-Day Taster Pass’. After you have booked that first class, you have 7 days to try as many studio classes as you want to!
If you selected the option with Reformer, you don’t have to use the Reformer pass within the 7 days, just select the session that works best for you – though we recommend booking onto a Beginner’s session if it’s your first time!

We run specific Pregnancy and Postnatal classes and courses throughout the year, run by our expert instructors. If these classes are unavailable or you’re not sure, please get in touch so we can help you find the most suitable classes to join!
You may feel more comfortable in a 1:1 session run by one of our Pre and Postnatal experts.
You can book your session here:
Please note: To join a class after giving birth you will need to have your 6-week check and given consent to do exercise, if you had a C-section or a tear you may need to wait a little longer to join.
If you have an ongoing illness or injury, you must provide written consent from your doctors, specialist, consultant, or physiotherapist of your readiness to exercise. This is for your own safety. We also recommend booking in for a 1:1 session with one of our specialist instructors to decide the best pathway for you.
Before attending classes, we do require each client to fill in a medical questionnaire, which will automatically appear on their Bsport account.
For any new injuries, please notify your instructor at the start of each session to ensure they are aware and can make modifications for you.
If you are unsure, drop us an email at admin@platinumwellness.co.uk or send us a WhatsApp on 07799 893489 and we’ll guide you in the right direction.
If you have a back injury or chronic back pain, we require written consent from your doctor, specialist, consultant, or physiotherapist for your readiness to exercise.
We strongly advise booking a 1:1 with one of specialist teachers and together we will decide the best pathway for you, whether that’s continuing with private sessions or joining a suitable class.
Our lead instructor, Lisa, is qualified in L4 management of back pain. Get in touch to book in!
Check out this article, which explains the effectiveness of Pilates for low back pain in more detail: https://complete-pilates.co.uk/lower-back-pain/
Pilates is uniquely suitable for hypermobile bodies for its highly adaptable, low-load nature. Unlike heavy weightlifting or high-intensity workouts, Pilates offers variable resistance from props, equipment such as reformers, and bodyweight, offering tailored support to unstable joints.
Pilates strengthens and lengthens muscles, as well as strengthen deep stabiliser muscles around the spine, hips, shoulders, and pelvis, offering support for loose of lax ligaments.
People with joint hypermobility often struggle with proprioception, or sensing where the body is in space. Pilates directly improves proprioception through proprioceptive feedback (e.g. by using Pilates props or a mat), and by training the brain and nervous system to sense and control joint movements.

We are located at 15 Manor Road, Caddington, LU1 4EE, just opposite Caddington Green. There is public parking outside the studio, though this is often full, so we recommend parking in one of the many nearby residential roads for ease.
We recommend arriving at your session at least five minutes early and waiting outside the main doors if there is another class running. If the door is locked on arrival, don't panic – usually it's just that there was no class before yours and your teacher may not have arrived yet.
If you arrive late, please enter quietly and get yourself set up. We kindly ask you not to arrive more than ten minutes late, as this can disrupt the class.
We ask that you take your shoes off before entering the studio. In both studios, there are dedicated drawers to place your shoes and other belongings, as well as hooks to hang your coats in the chillier months.
