MEET OUR TEAM

Lisa (Founder)

Lisa is the founder of Platinum Wellness, with over 20 years' experience in fitness and wellbeing. She began her career as Studio Coordinator and Senior Personal Trainer at Champneys in Tring before launching Platinum Wellness in 2002, since then delivering personal training, Pilates, and exercise classes across homes, health clubs, and local colleges.


Having lived with back and neck problems since childhood, Lisa is passionate about helping others manage pain and medical conditions. Lisa is qualified with the Pilates Institute and STOTT Pilates Method, as well as with Body Control for Reformer.

Ellie (Admin Assistant & Mat Instructor)

Ellie is a STOTT-qualified Mat Pilates instructor and the studio's admin assistant. She has been practising pilates for 7 years and, after discovering how well it helped her manage symptoms of long-term health conditions, she took the leap to train as an instructor so she could share that experience with others. 


Ellie joined the studio in 2025 as part of Platinum Wellness' mentorship program, which helped support her throughout her journey to becoming a qualified instructor. She's also your first point of contact for all things admin—so you're bound to chat with her at some point!

Evie (Mat & Reformer Instructor)

A qualified Mat and Reformer Pilates instructor trained with HFE, Evie brings a dancer's energy and enthusiasm to every class. She discovered Pilates during lockdown and was struck by how transformative it could be — both physically and mentally. At Platinum Wellness, she creates fun, dynamic sessions designed to help you move well, feel great, and genuinely enjoy the process.

Susan (Mat & Reformer Instructor)

Qualified in both Mat and Reformer Pilates through Body Control Pilates, Susan has been teaching since 2018 across studios in St Albans and Harpenden. She holds additional qualifications in postnatal Pilates, bone health, and back care, and has worked alongside an NHS physiotherapist to support clients with neurological conditions—reflecting her commitment to inclusive, thoughtful teaching.


Susan creates a warm, non-judgmental environment where clients of all abilities feel welcome and motivated. Her focus is on personalised attention and real progress, helping people build strength, improve flexibility, and feel better in their bodies.

Anita (Mat & Reformer Instructor)

With over a decade of experience teaching Mat Pilates, including five years delivering up to 15 classes a week at Champneys, Anita brings a wealth of knowledge and a warm, patient approach to every session. Her background in physiotherapy assistance gives her a keen eye for posture, movement, and safe progression, and she has a particular passion for rehabilitation-focused Pilates, helping clients recover mobility, build strength, and move with greater confidence. 


Currently completing her STOTT Reformer certification, Anita combines technical expertise with a genuinely supportive coaching style that puts clients of all ages and abilities at ease. Sports and an active lifestyle have always been an important part of Anita's life, and she truly enjoys supporting others in their wellness journey. 

Sophie (Mat & Reformer Instructor)

Sophie qualified in Mat Pilates with STOTT and Reformer with HFE, drawn to teaching after experiencing first-hand how Pilates builds strength, balance, and a much-needed sense of space in a busy life. Her classes focus on helping you tune out the noise, focus on yourself, and make real progress at your own pace.

Sarah (Mat Instructor)

Sarah joined the studio in 2025 as part of Platinum Wellness' mentorship programme, which supported her journey towards her STOTT Pilates qualification. 

Debbie (Chair Yoga)

Debbie has practised yoga since her late teens, drawing on it through three pregnancies and a 30-year NHS management career. Now retired from the NHS and teaching full-time, she brings patience, warmth, and deep experience to her classes.


Trained at Whitespace Studio and in Subtle® Yoga with Kristine Weber, Debbie's approach uses slow, breath-led movement to support the body's natural healing. She specialises in gentle and restorative yoga, yoga nidra for sleep, and chair yoga— welcoming those with long-term conditions or those simply returning to movement. When the weather allows, she takes classes outdoors into the Chiltern Hills she loves. Debbie teaches on Wednesday afternoons..

Christine (Tai Chi)

Christine teaches Tai Chi Mindful Movement—a gentle, low-impact class designed to nurture body and mind. With easy-to-follow moves suitable for all ages and fitness levels, it's an ideal introduction to this ancient practice.


Over six weeks, participants learn 10 effective tai chi-based movements that build flexibility and balance while easing stress. Christine runs her classes from the studio, providing a calm space to disconnect from daily pressures and move with purpose and intention.
