Hi, I'm Lisa the founder on platinum Wellness
I have worked in the Fitness & wellbeing Industry for over 20 years’. Early in my Fitness Career I was the Studio Coordinator & Senior Personal Trainer at Champneys in Tring.
In 2002 I created Platinum Fitness (which is now Platinum Wellness), providing Personal Training within client’s homes & Exercise & Pilates classes in local towns & villages. During this time, I also taught in many local Health Clubs & worked a Trainer & Assessor for the fitness industry for both Barnfield & Central Bedfordshire College.
I have suffered from back & neck problems since I was a child and this is why I am focused on helping others who suffer with medical conditions, muscular & joint pain.
After discovering Pilates in 2000 I found it helped my back & neck problems. Following the Pilates method allowed me to continue teaching fitness classes & to manage my back problems. Being able to identify with clients who suffer from muscular or skeletal problems really helps to modify & tailor each exercise for every individual. Pilates also aided in my recovery after both C-sections.
I am qualified in with both the Pilates Institute & STOTT Pilates Method which is based on bio mechanics.
I also offer remedial Massage & is currently studying another technique as a Body Mechanics Therapist at The Tyler Academy which involves remedial clinical massage techniques, body alignment & specific exercise to ease pain and treat & prevent injury. The technique addresses treating back pain, sports injuries, muscular & joint pain, Arthritis, muscular-skeletal misalignment, repetitive strain injury, sciatica & lymphedema to name a few……
Tiffany is our HIIT Instructor
Before opening my own dance and gymnastic schools I was a professional dancer. When not performing I worked as a gym instructor/personal trainer in London.
Lockdown has sparked the love for it all again.
The results I’ve had personally from doing HIIT classes over the past eight months have been amazing - rewarding both physically and mentally.
They make you feel alive!
My motto for the new HIIT classes is the 3 Fs
Get FITTER
Have FUN
Feel FABULOUS
Whether you are a complete beginner or a super athlete I can adapt any of my exercises to suit your levels of ability
Debbie is one of our Yoga instructors who will be teaching chair Yoga and gentle relaxation Yoga on a Wednesday afternoon.
I love living, working and cycling around the Chiltern Hills. My yoga is aimed at getting people moving their body gently.
You may have long term conditions such as diabetes or asthma or simply not ventured into any type of exercise for a while. With patience, gentle asanas or poses and an opportunity to really relax, Subtle Inspired Yoga can help people in many ways.
I have practiced yoga since I was in my late teens. I used yoga all through my three pregnancies, during my working life as an NHS manager and now I enjoy it all over again with my grandchildren. I trained at Whitespace Studio which is based in Stoney Stratford, Milton Keynes and I am profoundly grateful for having such inspirational teachers.
I have taken further training in Subtle® Yoga with Kristine Weber. This style of yoga uses slow, breath infused movement to enable the body’s innate wisdom to heal itself. I also love to hold restorative yoga and yoga nidra sessions to help people improve their quantity and quality of sleep.
I am inspired by the beautiful English countryside; I love to walk and cycle around the local villages and up onto Dunstable Downs. I love to experience yoga in the fresh air when the ceiling is the sky and you can hear the birds and nature close by.
I worked in the NHS for over 30 years in different management roles, I retired and retrained. Now that I am qualified as a yoga teacher, I find it is so rewarding to be able to work directly with people and help them move more freely, find balance and really relax.
Christine will be running Tai Chi Classes from the Studio.
Introducing tai chi mindful movement.
A health based, low impact tai chi style movement class.
Each Session consists of easy to follow moves ideal for beginners.
Over the six week course you will learn 10 highly effective tai chi based moves that will improve flexibility and balance whilst de-stressing your mind and body.

Becky is one of our Yoga Instructors and will be teaching on a Tuesday afternoon and Friday evening.
I've practiced yoga since my late teens and over the years embraced many different styles and disciplines including pre and post natal yoga after the birth of each of my children. I am an eternal yoga student, finding constant inspiration through exploration in my own practice as well as study and training. I find the ancient wisdom and compassionate psychology of yoga the perfect antidote to this fast-paced modern world we live in.
My classes provide the time and space to press the pause button, come into the present moment and begin to explore and reconnect with our bodies. I have a narrative approach to teaching, weaving thought-provoking concepts and philosophies into slow-flowing creative sequences, designed to mobilise and release, whilst building strength and balance. A nurturing and nourishing experience for mind, body and soul, looking to restore a sense of calm and equilibrium
I’ve been going to Lisa’s Pilates class for over 10 years now and I can’t begin to describe what a difference it has made.
After the birth of my children I have really struggled with lower back pain and more recently pain from the hyper-mobility in my joints. She has taken the time to carefully go through each exercise with me to make sure Ian doing it properly so as not to injure myself.
My physio therapist has also been pleased that I have someone as knowledgeable as Lisa to work through my exercises with me. More recently I have been going to her for remedial massage too. Which has also been a huge benefit, and enlightening as she can pick up on problem areas which we can work through in class.
I am a hairdresser and I recommend Pilates to all my clients and would totally recommend a one to one to make sure you are getting the most out of it. Lisa is patient, knowledgeable and a great teacher, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend her.
I moved to Markyate just over a year and a half ago, I have had a lot of health problems over many years and put a message out on our local site for someone to help me as I felt that I was losing more of myself every year that passed.
Lisa from Platinum fitness got in touch she came to my place to see what I could do and what I couldn't. After being assessed I joined in Pilates classes it was a nice small class so I felt at ease I felt good going to the classes and really enjoyed it although I did have to take a break after xmas as I was recovering from another operation.
When I felt ready I was welcomed back into the group Lisa is amazing and knows when you are struggling and always gives an individual different things to do within the class. I always feel like I'm being helped with a smile and not a bother which I always used to feel when doing things. I really look forward to the classes and feel like I've accomplished something when I leave.
Many Thanks to Lisa look forward to more classes with yourself.
A year ago everything ached; it was a real effort to do things. I broken my arm earlier in the year, suffered from a hiatus hernia, lower back pain and was approaching sixty.
I needed to do something! Pilates with Lisa was a godsend. In the past I had done Yoga, but had aggravated my back problems and was concerned that I might do myself more harm, but with her regular checking of my body alignment, careful, continuous instructions and initial gentle exercises,
I was soon able to progress and build my core strength, balance and flexibility. I now feel Ten years younger and my family has noticed a huge, positive difference in my emotional & physical well-being.
I look forward to Lisa's Pilates class every week! It's a great balance of relaxation and working out. My posture and back pain have dramatically improved since attending. Lisa is lovely, professional, knowledgeable and approachable. She is very accommodating and welcomes everybody of different abilities into her class and adapts them appropriately. I would highly recommend her and her classes to anybody.

Pilates with Lisa has been beneficial to me in so many ways. I feel much stronger now than when I first started and it has also helped my stamina and flexibility.
Lisa is great and will give you variations on each pose to suit your ability and she will adjust your position so you get the most out of each exercise.
The group has a lovely relaxed vibe and Lisa is obviously very knowledgeable and professional.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank Lisa for guiding me through my training sessions during my pregnancy. Lisa tailored my sessions / exercises to enable me to continue training throughout the duration of the pregnancy.
I was able to participate in group personal training, circuits and Pilates. Lisa was there to supervise and advise me, ensuring that I was exercising correctly at each stage.
I highly recommend Lisa who is now helping me return to my pre pregnancy fitness. I’ve had one personal training session since giving birth to my son 8 weeks ago and am looking forward to the next one very much! Leanne
Pilates with Lisa has massively helped my aches and pains and I feel much more flexible than I have for a long time. The classes are great fun with lots of variety and new things thrown in to keep us on our toes. I miss it when I am not able to attend and definitely notice the difference if I haven’t been for a few weeks. Highly recommend! Jane
“I love Lisa’s Pilates class! As a gym lover I was a bit sceptical at first about Pilates but 3 months into Lisa’s classes and I have to say I’m hooked. The small class and the care with which Lisa explains each move, how it should feel and variations to make it harder or easier mean you can work as hard as you want to whilst knowing you’re doing it right. I’d highly recommend these classes for anyone of any ability and fitness level.”

I have been attending Lisa's classes for years. She is a good knowledgeable teacher adapting each exercise to individual ability. It has certainly kept me supple and has helped with my back and joint problems. The only person not happy is my osteopath as I rarely see him now! David
I joined Pilates first as I suffer from osteoporosis and Arthritis. In my second year I had a Hysterectomy and afterwards my recovery benefited from Lisa's special help. I have been attending the class now for many years and really enjoying them. Joan
My Physiotherapist recommended Pilates whilst I was recovering from pelvic problems after the birth of my second child. I have found it has helped enormously to return parts of my body to their proper places after pregnancy and to strengthen my abdominal muscles which had seemed to disappear altogether. Elizabeth
Lisa's Pilates class has helped me get my life back in track after having breast cancer. My stamina is slowly building and it's the only thing I have stuck at. Su
I had a back problem and my osteopath & consultant recommended Pilates, without it, I would not be able to lead the active life I lead now. I highly recommend it and know when I have not done it. Joanna
Lisa has always been very helpful and will help the student by adapting the exercises when needed which is appreciated. Helen
I've noticed being more supple generally, with a reduction in Aches in the joints and muscles. My Chiropractor has said my back was 'brilliant' last time she saw me, and I feel that my posture has improved as a direct result of the classes. Thank You! Jeanette - Pilates Classes
Absolutely excellent, I had a back injury in August 2016, as a result I required intensive physiotherapy, I supplemented this with one-2-one with Lisa and found that the exercises I was doing with Lisa were identical to those with the physic department. She took time to explain what I needed to do, and what muscles this would strengthen, as a result I have returned to work full time, got back into my hobby which I had to stop and I am now pain free. I still attend Lisa classes to keep up the regime as I never want to repeat that pain again. I cannot recommend Lisa enough, thanks Richard

Lisa is a really good teacher, very thorough and knowledgeable about all the muscle groups etc. She always watches carefully & walks around to make sure we are all doing it right. Lisa is especially helpful to me as I have knee problems & she is always able to suggest am alternative exercise. She is also an extremely good Dancer! Attending her classes has really helped me with my mobility. Cathy –
Lisa has always acted in a very professional way, always ask if any problems prior to start of class, the classes are fun and not too intense allowing us ‘Older Ones’ to get all the benefits! Marcia
